Why A Quality Pomeranian Breeder
Won't Sell To A Pet Store
The
Pomeranian is quickly becoming the most popular small breed dog in the world
today. These dogs are known for their fluffy coats, and their elegant demeanours;
but are becoming more so known for their affectionate and playful natures. Even
in Hollywood the people can't stay away from these precious little dogs, and we
see countless starlets and celebrities walking their precocious balls of fluff
right beside them down the red carpet.
Unfortunately, this increased celebrity has left a wide open market for the
dishonest Pomeranian breeder. Though many people are unaware of it, a
respectable Pomeranian breeder has a long list of responsibilities that he or
she must adhere to in order to produce only the healthiest of pups. These
responsibilities are for the protection of their puppies, as well as for the
protection of the new owners. Sadly, most people don't realize these
responsibilities are so important, and impatiently purchase their new dogs from
a pet store.
The first thing that anyone who wants one of these sweet little dogs must
understand is that a respectable Pomeranian breeder would never sell his or her
pups to a pet store. Since a pet store is obligated to sell their animals to
anyone with the money to buy, there is never a guarantee that the dogs will be
going to a good home. An honest Pomeranian breeder will put each person who
wants one of their pups through a rigorous screening process in order to make
certain that they will give the best care possible to their dog.
The dishonest Pomeranian breeder who supplies pet stores often is running what
is known as a puppy mill. The only purpose of these mills is to churn out as
many pups as possible throughout the year, in order to profit from the growing
popularity of these dogs. Pups born in puppy mills are often born sick, simply
because the breeders who run these mills raise their dogs in conditions that
are barely legal, and will breed a female as many times in a year as possible.
Many pet storeowners will try to tell you that their dogs come from a quality,
local breeder. Don't be taken in by their heartfelt speech. An honest
Pomeranian Breeder would never consider selling a dog to a place where he or
she would have no control over who was going to be the new owner. Pet store
employees have been taught to tell people that their dogs come from a
well-respected breeder; unfortunately, this just isn't the truth.
When you refuse to buy an alleged Pomeranian pup from a pet store, you are
helping to ensure that the dishonest Pomeranian isn't making any more money. If
everyone would stop buying dogs in the pet stores, these breeders would soon be
out of business, and there would be far fewer new dog owners becoming
heartbroken when their new pup dies from maltreatment. A Pomeranian makes a
wonderful family pet, so don't you think your family deserves the very best?
Pomeranians are a wonderful small breed dog, known for their affectionate and
energetic ways. Pomeranian breeders know this and are reluctant to sell dogs to
pet stores just to keep up with the laws of supply and demand.

ABOVE PHOTOS OF MONGRELS BEING SOLD AS POMS! (see lots more at bottom of the page!)
BUYING A POMERANIAN – WHERE TO LOOK (and not to look!) These dogs and puppies all advertised as pure Pomeranian! So sad for the dog/puppy and subsequently the new owners at around 9 months!
....................................
There are quite a few Pomeranian breeders in the UK, however it is always the best place to find a genuine puppy is : the Kennel club
http://www.the-kennel-club.org.uk
Where not to look for a puppy!
be careful and beware of the puppies advertised on the “free ads” sites, as generally they are not pure pomeranian – or in many cases the advert is just an outright scam! never send money to anyone without first going to view the puppy and the environment they live in. there are so many scams on the internet, be very careful or you will be another “statistic” – these days so many scams in everything, so do not think you are getting a “cheap” pomeranian, as “cheap” pure Pomeranian’s do not exist! you will end up with either a mongrel or nothing!
Also others listed below, be careful and be aware - you have been warned! you will NOT buy a cheap pomeranian!
The dog above was sold WITH KENNEL CLUB PAPERS BY SUE CRISPIN IN HERTFORDSHIRE! HE IS NOTHING EVEN LIKE A PURE POMERANIAN, THE PEOPLE WHO BOUGHT HIM PAID ALMOST £800 FOR HIM!
THESE “BREEDERS” /
PUPPY FARMERS - ARE TO BE AVOIDED AT ALL
COSTS! Beware of Carla and Fritz of La Petit Pom.
There were known as Petit Poms before but they have done this to 5 other
people in there own country who complained to there kennel club and got
there kennel name revoked but it was only in the wife's name so they re
opened in the husbands name.Very
sad, i met 3 more people at crufts who had been conned the same way by
her so she is very well known in her own country but she will not get
away with this. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They are not Poms, all are being sold as such, and owners
have paid up to £1000
for a x-bred Mongrel puppy that started off as a cute pup…….

and turned into this…………..……

Mr. Stuart
Wood Premier Puppies - Greenford Ave, Hanwell

Mr. D.J. Bradshaw
– 42 Hanover Circle, Hayes, Middlesex – Irish man, there are several of them
and women who have been selling mongrels as pure Pomeranians for YEARS! They
are not licenced so the Council cannot do anything, and by the time they get a
warrant they have moved the dogs to another “breeder” in their circle – sold
many, many sick puppies, and they are ALL xbred mongrels, tho’ Mr. Bradshaw or
one of his colleagues will insist they are pure Pom – avoid them like the
plague.
There are at least
two branches of Premier Puppies – Harrow Middlesex they buy from puppy farmers, they are NOT genuine Poms, and are usually full of infections.
And the puppies are NOT genuine, nor pedigree (it’s just a
piece of paper) and moreOften they are sick and most often have genetic problems.
Little Rascals
– Penny Swindells, Bridget Swindells, Edward Swindells – just so many bad
reports and bad news about these kennels, so many complaints, puppy farmers,
sick puppies and not genuine dogs, I really cannot understand how these people
continue doing business.
THERE ARE PROBABLY LOTS MORE AND I RELY ON PEOPLE INFORMING ME TO KEEP THIS LIST UPDATED! SO PLEASE IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED A "POMERANIAN" THAT IS NOW OBVIOUSLY NOT ONE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
